The Opportunity

 

As CVA Officer, you will responsible for the planning and coordination of all Cash and Vouchers assistance project activities. The post holder will have to comply with the strategic orientations as well as the programmatic and administrative standards defined by Plan International and the donor.

 

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Participating in defining the vulnerability criteria for project beneficiaries and the methodology for targeting beneficiaries and implementing interventions (traditional distribution, voucher and/or cash).
  • Training project staff, local partner staff and community leaders in the CVA (Cash and Voucher Assistance) method.
  • Participate in the market analysis and/or feasibility study for a cash intervention via vouchers.
  • Plan and supervise all cash and voucher distributions
  • Participate, in collaboration with the project’s M&E, in PDMs (Post Distribution Monitoring) and other surveys and studies helping to improve the implementation of CVA activities within the project;
  • Coordinate awareness-raising among target communities on the effective use of assistance received;
  • Ensure the continuous capacity building of the staff of local organisations involved in the implementation of the project;
  • Contribute to a working environment that considers the specificities of each person and avoids any discrimination;
  • Provide ongoing technical support to the project coordinator and other staff.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the hierarchy.

The Individual

 

As Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) Officer, you need to have a Bachelor Degree in economic sciences, statistic, social sciences, project/program management or equivalent. A strong experience in cash, vouchers and NFI assistance projects and experience and knowledge of planning, programming and monitoring/evaluation procedures for cash and voucher projects. You also a strong communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to work under pressure, a knowledge of the Far North region and CaLP (Cash and learning Partnership) training would be appreciated
