THE OPPORTUNITY
The Program Officer will capacitate the program participants, community stakeholders, and partners, by facilitating situational analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation (SAPIME) in the context of Area of Global Distinctiveness (AOGD) and gender responsiveness.
Further, as the Program Officer:
- You will design and facilitate the implementation of development interventions through appropriate participatory techniques to improve organizational functions as a prerequisite to undertaking community-managed projects.
- You will analyze priority needs and rights violated that were identified during participatory community development planning.
- You will facilitate the capacity building of partners including children in project management and resource mobilization.
- You will make use of the community development processes to produce sponsorship communication items.
- You will implement grant-funded projects, as necessary.
- You will document community projects, activities, and processes
Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful in the role you will need among other things:
- Degree or Diploma and 2-3 years’ relevant professional experience, or demonstrated equivalent combination.
- Able to demonstrate sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to influence others’ behavior through effective relationship building.
- Good computer applications knowledge.
- Strong system thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Has good written and verbal communication skills.
- This role requires fieldwork. Applicant must be open and able to conduct fieldwork in areas covered by Plan International Pilipinas.
- Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals.
