MEAL Interns
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has an internship program aimed at increasing opportunities for under-represented groups and increasing diversity in the workforce. Interns will receive a modest monthly stipend. Other details will be shared if you are selected for an interview in mid-January.
We anticipate a start date on March 1st, 2024, and an internship duration of six months.
The internship positions we anticipate recruiting for are the following:
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) (1 in Bamenda)
- Update the MEAL archives; define roles and access procedures for All MEAL related files.
- Participate in all Monitoring Activities (OSM, PDM, etc.)
- Assist the MEAL team in planning, implementing and supervising field activities.
- Ensure that data entered on hard paper forms are entered into either CommCare or RedRose Collect for proper backup.
- Participate in the registration of Project participants.
- Provide daily updates for all MEAL activities.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) (1 in Yaoundé)
By the end of the internship, the candidate will be able to:
- Improve their skills on routine M&E as well as in monitoring and learning from FCRM
- Improve their skills on plan and implementation of project evaluation activities.
- Learn how to perform data analysis and reporting especially with qualitative methodology.
- actively participate in all routine MEAL activities organized at the CP level notably in the two project evaluations planned for FY24 projects.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) (1 in Maroua)
- Support in monitoring project activities and contribute to the preparation of the End line and evaluation within the project
- Participate in the organization and facilitation of quarterly workshops
- Participate in the management of the feedback, complaints and response mechanism (FCRM)
- Support the drafting of MEAL reports.
- Support for digital and physical archiving of project documents
- Support for project closing activities.
- Support for entering feedback on paper forms in CommCare and help with hotline management.
- Support in the follow-up of STaR’s FCRM-related activities in the field and on the various 03 platforms
- Support for continuous updating of the DIP
- Support for quarterly checks on project data quality and archiving project evidence
- Support for the development of sampling plans and the analysis and processing of the results of discussions at a brainstorming session on evaluation results to document lessons learned and good practices.
Qualifications: minimum a bachelor’s degree / BS in social sciences, statistics, Computer sciences, or any relevant field.
Languages: English and French,
the knowledge of one or two additional local languages (pidgin, Fulfulde, can be a plus.
