  1. OPPORTUNITY

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for acting as a resource to support business development at Plan International Cameroon and to support the achievement of Plan Cameroon’s CS objectives. He/she will be responsible for leading the development of NC , proposals and grant acquisition, as well as ensuring the development of RMC’s grant portfolio. The post holder will actively seek and maximise opportunities for additional funding from a variety of sources and report to the Head of Business Development. He or she will work closely with the Grants Team, Programme Director, Programme Specialists, Project Managers, Programme Influence Area Managers and other focal points. He/she will ensure the development and maintenance of a good partnership with Nos and donors as well as the development and maintenance of a good partnership with local donor missions, including bilateral and multilateral donors.

 

  1. ABOUT YOU

The Business Development Specialist should have a degree in sociology, social sciences, economics or a related field, and preferably have experience of proposal development, fundraising, alliances and partnerships, as well as a good understanding of the financial and administrative requirements of a variety of major donors. He/she should have an excellent level of written and spoken English and French. Advanced negotiation skills, conceptual and analytical skills, coaching, training and facilitation skills and marketing skills are essential  marketing skills.
