Role Overview: As our Business Development and Grants Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in securing vital resources to support the implementation of our Country Strategic Plan. Your expertise will drive the growth of grants and funding from diverse sources, fostering innovative and compelling partnerships. Join us in making a difference!
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Design and Proposal Management:
- Lead the development of concept notes and full proposals in collaboration with the Grants Team, Program Teams, and Program Areas.
- Work closely with Plan International’s National Offices and other relevant teams to create impactful project designs.
- Corporate and Foundation Engagement:
- Orient potential corporate and foundation partners about our programs in the Philippines.
- Explore creative partnerships that leverage our institutional strengths.
- Technical Support:
- Provide timely and proactive assistance to Program Areas and other units regarding grants management and donor compliance.
- Stakeholder Representation:
- Represent Plan International Pilipinas in external meetings with donors, consortium partners, and other stakeholders.
- Emergency Response Readiness:
- In exceptional cases, contribute to emergency response activities.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Graduate with a relevant degree and 4-5 years of relevant professional experience or demonstrated equivalent combination.
- Experience working with relevant donor agencies and identifying and developing fundraising opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in developing external relationships with bilateral and multilateral donors/partners, development aid organizations, and relevant civil society actors.
- Success in directly managing the implementation and reporting requirements of grant-funded projects and programs.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Effective and authoritative communication in the area of expertise.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships across organizations and networks.
- Adequate knowledge of gender and inclusion concepts.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in areas covered by Plan International Pilipinas.
- Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals.
