The Opportunity

 

Programme Y.O.D.A (Your Organisation’s Data & Analytics) is an organisational transformation programme through which Plan International is introducing the new integrated ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365), Data Warehouse and PMERL (Project Management and MERL) systems.

 

These tools will help us accelerate the implementation of our refreshed Global Strategy ‘Girls Standing Strong’ by enabling us to measure, analyse and report on the impact and cost of our work. In this way, Programme Y.O.D.A will help us to become more data-driven and transparent and increase our efficiency, effectiveness and impact for girls.

 

In this role as the Global Project Finance Controller you will lead a team of 4 -6 Project Finance Account Managers to ensure monitoring, support, and continuous improvement of financial management aspects of all Plan International’s projects (Sponsorship, grants and other funded) throughout the ERP transition.

 

In this global role you will provide Project Finance monitoring and support to colleagues to ensure they are able to fulfil the financial aspects of projects efficiently and effectively to maintain adherence to Plan International grants finance management standards.

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

 

  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of Projects Financial Management and donors’ financial requirements, ideally gained in INGO in countries of implementation and in Regional or Global Hubs.
  • Skilled in leading and managing cross-cultural, geographically dispersed team of finance experts.
  • Ability to inspire trust and support from others, able to build rapport with wide range of groups
  • Takes responsibility for workload and achieving significant results.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA or internationally recognised equivalent) – part-qualified accounting degree will be considered too.
  • Capacity in Spanish and/or French is highly desirable.

Location: The location of this role can be flexible where Plan International has an office* that can employ on behalf of the Global Hub and you have the pre-existing right to work and live. You may be office, home or hybrid based.

Type of Role: 18 month Fixed Term Contract 

Grade: GH Grade 4 Please note that employment terms will be as per the standard terms and conditions in the country where you are based.
