Deadline: 19-Mar-23
With Plant! the 2023 COAL Prize invites artists from around the world to sow the seeds of creation and action, to germinate new research and experimentation, so that an inventive and resilient plant thought can sprout, capable of making the world of after.
This Prize is a call to act, to layer, to heal, to reiterate, to hybridize. A call to feel the richness of the plant, its balances and its dynamics, from the seed to the chalice, from the molecule to the ecosystem. A call to plant and, why not, to plant oneself, because whoever does not plant himself never grows.
The COAL 2023 Prize benefits from the support of the European Union via the European cooperation program ACT â Art Climate Transition, the French Office for Biodiversity, the Museum of Hunting and Nature, the François Sommer Foundation and the LAccolade Foundation, as well as a partnership with the Center Wallonie Bruxelles/Paris and the Ateliers MĂ©dicis.
