Plan has been working in Cox Bazar to respond to the Rohingya refugee influx since 24 September 2017 implementing the following key objectives: 1. Ensure girls and boys affected by the crisis are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through appropriate prevention and response interventions in line with minimum standards. 2. Reduce the transmission of disease from fees to mouth through the promotion of good hygiene practice and the reduction of health risks related to poor sanitation 3. Restore and increase access to safe quality and inclusive educational opportunities for refugee children and adolescents (girls and boys) affected by the Rohingya crisis.

PLAN International Bangladesh has set up a modern IT infrastructure for ensuring access to modern communication and data management system in Cox’s Bazar for three distinct locations Cox Office, Ukhiya Office and Teknaf Offices around 100 staffs. As a Software developer, IT Specialist is responsible for providing day to day ICT Support and solution into the fields in Cox’s Bazar all three offices for implementing different project and program, IT Specialist is responsible for keeping the IT systems functional and providing support services to the Cox’s Bazar, Ukhiya and Teknaf Offices staff members for ensuring uninterrupted access to LAN, WAN, Local, Global IT Applications & Software including ICT4D extended support and solutions for the largest Rohingya Refugees and for the local community.
Diploma in computer Science/Engineering or B. Sc in Computer Science/Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT which includes system administration, network administration, and end-user support services. Set of knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for all Plan International Bangladesh staff. Set of knowledge, skills and attitudes specific to the managerial, technical or support requirements of the position which may also be discipline specific. Aware – basic level of mastery (can identify the concept or skill but have limited ability to perform). Knowledgeable – intermediate level of mastery (able to apply and describe the concept or skill). Proficient – advanced level of mastery (able to synthesize, critique and teach the skill).

Salary Package for this role is BDT. 108,589 fixed monthly Cost to the company. Along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, Festival Bonus, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.
Closing Date: 14th November 2023. Selected candidate will get initially one-year contract for this position and highly possibility for extension based on performance.
