The Role:
Livelihood Specialist will provide technical oversight of Plan International Bangladesh’s (PIB) Skill and Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) programme in Cox’s Bazar in close coordination with Project Manager of The Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) Project. She/he will coordinate strategy and operations of all SOYEE projects and assist with the design of activities related to decent work in Cox’s Bazar. She/he will be responsible for ensuring that the project implementation is of the highest quality. The Livelihood Specialist will develop SOPs, train field staff and oversee the quality of implementation.
What we’re looking for:
We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, International development, social sciences. Also, a Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Should have at least three years of proven and successful track record as a technical advisor or project manager in the field of Food Security & livelihoods, skills and economic development; Proven experience in Food Security and livelihood programming in a post-emergency context, private sector engagement, or economic development; S/he should have experience working in Bangladesh with a range of a local partners in the field of economic empowerment and/or Food Security and livelihoods
As well as experience with dealing multi-donor funded livelihood projects, team management and ensuring technical support. S/he should have excellent English writing skills and ability to communicate technical information in an easy to understand, informative and collaborative manner. Should have experience with project cycle management and project management tools such as logical frameworks, work plans, budgets and monitoring plans.
