THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. will implement a three-year project entitled:  Casting a Wider Net: Systems Approach Against Child Abuse and Exploitation in the Philippines Project.

 

The project will be implemented in three (3) cities and three (3) Municipalities namely: Tacloban City, Catbalogan City, Zumarraga & Daram of West Samar, and, San Jose City and Magsaysay, in Occidental Mindoro.  The project will strengthen the protection, recovery, and reintegration efforts of duty-bearers in addressing children and young people (CAY) abuse and exploitation from human trafficking and early and forced marriages and unions.

 

In line with this project, we invite competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position. 

 

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will implement the project’s M&E Plan pursuant to the M&E Framework.  He/she will ensure that data gathering tools and processes are aligned with the project’s monitoring, evaluation and research plan/framework and that database systems are operational and optimized in analyzing and reporting relevant project information. He/she will track and monitor project accomplishments, consolidate feedback from stakeholders, integrate feedback within project implementation plans, document and share learnings, and provide technical guidance to project staff.

 

Further, as the M&E Officer:

  

  • You will validate and consolidate project reports from Project Officers for submission to the project’s donor. 
  • You will facilitate school & community assessments, monitoring and evaluations.
  • You will lead in the conduct of Baseline, Mid and End-line studies in the project communities.
  • You will facilitate the conduct of learning conferences or other learning platforms.
  • You will facilitate the capturing & documentation, storage and sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Plan International Pilipinas is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities in your assigned covered areas. 

 

 

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

 

To be successful in the role you will need among other things:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Social Work, Community Development, Statistics, or other related courses. An advanced related degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in conducting research, planning, developing, and managing community development work-related projects.
  • Has hands-on experience in using participatory approaches to data collection and research.
  • Relevant training on Rights-based programming; Community Development; Program / Project Management.
  • Previous work experience working on projects related to education or sexual and reproductive health is an advantage.
  • Very good command of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
  • Applicants must be based in the Philippines and Filipino nationals.

 

 

 

 

Base Location: Makati City, Metro Manila

Type of Role: Project-based (until September 2026)

Reports to: Project Manager

This role requires fieldwork in the project areas.
