The Opportunity

As Gender in Emergency Officer, you will be providing technical support to the WFP-TPM and ECHO projects in the Northwest region. You will provide technical advice in ensuring Gender is incorporated in a meaningful way into the design, implementation and monitoring of Disaster Risk Management programs. You will also be charged to represent Plan International in external fora for Gender in Emergency programming.

About You

The Gender in Emergency Officer should be a holder of University degree in Women and Gender Studies, Sociology, Law, International Relations, or other relevant field of Social Science alongside possible work experience of four (04) years in a field relevant to Gender Equality and Inclusion, GBV and emergency response.

The position holder should also have significant experience in planning, designing and implementation of integrated humanitarian programmes, with excellent writing and speaking communication skills in English Language and a mastery of the locally spoken Pidgin Language in the Northwest Region.
